Headlines - Drake.

Drake really shows why he is one of the best rappers around with this track, fitting titled 'Headlines.'
Drake truly has been making headlines with songs like Dreams Money can Buy, which are off his upcoming album, Take Care. Boi-1da and Noah '40' Shebib are the two responsible for the bouncy beat that is behind the smooth, well though out lyrics of Aubrey 'Drake' Graham. Drake will be making even more Headlines for sure when he drops his sophomore album, Take Care.

Drake - Marvins Room [Video]

Drake just released the video for his latest song, Marvins Room. Like the song, the video has a very laid-back feel. This song seems to stray away from mainstream music, having a deep meaning behind it, and emotion throughout the whole thing. Heres the video.

Drake's New Year Resolution.

First off, i want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone has a wonderful year, and preforms to their full potential throughout the year. Remember, the Sky isn't the Limit, Because their is No limit.

A Common tradition, When the New Year rolls around, is making a resolution, or a change for yourself. It can be anything from losing weight to quitting a bad habit, to finding love.

Here is what Aubrey Graham has chosen as his New Years Resolution, and i think Drake has the best one out of any other rapper by far. He continuously proves he is a down to earth, respectable human being.

"Well, we don't have Resolutions we've just got Reservations. I try to live my life right every day. Then again I can't really say that, i've gotta be honest, that's a line from the album. I do actually have resolutions."

"It's crazy, i really had a moment seeing some old friends and being around my family. I was just like, I do pride myself on being a humble guy that is still connected to his fans and still every much with the people. But I just wanna get even better than that, as challenging as it is, I just want to be a better guy, a nicer guy. I really want people, when I leave this earth, to say that was a great man, that was a great guy, he was always kind. But that takes a lot because there's a lot of shit that can frustrate you in this position but that's one of my things man. I just want to live this year, not getting caught up in certain things, even when people frustrate me still shake everybody's hand. I remember when I use to be that kid just coming up and I use to go to everyone's dressing room and say hello and shake hands and tell them what songs I love. Now you get to that point where it becomes like clockwork and you kind of just walk in and walk out and there's something that bothers me about that. I want to be a little more personable like I haven't made it and it's just business. I wanna get back to me before, before all of this whirlwind. That's my resolution."

Bun B (Ft. Drake) - Put it Down (Video)

So we all know Bun B's 'Trill OG' was an outstanding album, earning itself 5 mics from
The Source Magazine. Not only was his solo game on lock, his features were on point as well! Drake was actually on two songs in the 5 mic album! This being my favorite of the two. Not only is the song well written, with a good beat, the video is well done, and a good watch! Enjoy

Pimp C (Ft. Drake & Bun B) - What Up

Pimp C, What up? This track is Dope! New favorite for sure! its nice to hear Pimp C! Drake got that nice flow as usual, Bun B kills it (as expected). Anyway, this song titled "What up", is the first single off of "The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones". Listen to it, download it, spread it! R.I.P Pimp C!

Drake's Letter To Aaliyah.

Dear Dana,

I’ve never lost a parent, a friend, or a lover but I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I remember getting the news that you had passed and it connected with my heart like a clean shot from Muhammad Ali. I was crushed. Not only was I one of your biggest fans but I was truly in love with you. I loved the way you carried yourself, the way you dressed, the confidence with which you addressed passion and relationships in your music. I said to myself that even if we never met, I wanted a woman in my life just like you. I am pained that we will never get to connect now that music ended up being my career path. But you should know, we all listen to you everyday and we remain inspired and moved by all that you’ve given the world. I hope I make the right life choices so I can end up in heaven where I know you rest your head. I’ll continue to make music in your honor until the day we finally meet. Dinner’s on me!

Love you always and forever,

Drake.

Rap's True Hope.

Here's 2 great videos about one of the games best artists right now, Drake. You guys have been seeing a lot of him on my blog lately. Theres a reason for that, and i say it every single time i post about him. He is the most real rapper out! While artists like soulja boy rap about their chains and money, Drake is putting life into the game, and bringing Rap to a whole new Level!

Heres a Video, that shows how honest and deep Drake is, in the video he speaks about the fast life and his true fears.

This is a video of Drake doing a concert/party preformance with DJ A-Trak!

Stay True.

I have said it soo many times before, Drake is the realist, most honest and humble rapper around right now, This is what is behind true Rap, this is whats behind True Music.

Drake in Paper Magazine

I've made it obvious that Drake is by far one of my favorite artists around, especially because of his ability to rap about reality, and one of the most real rappers around. Anyway, Thank Me Later drops tomorrow, and Drake decided to do this article in Paper Magazine.

It may sound cliché, but Drake remembers October 31, 2009, like it was yesterday.

That was the night Drake knew his transformation from Aubrey Drake Graham -- star of teen soap opera Degrassi: The Next Generation -- to famous rapper had begun. That was the night Jay-Z performed in his hometown.

"Jay-Z coming to Toronto meant every single person was going to be there, which meant the majority of the people in my life were there," the 23-year-old rapper recalls. "And there was a big rumor around the city: Is Drake close enough to Jay where he would bring me out? And people were like, 'No, it would never happen.'"

Well, it did happen. Not only did Jay-Z bring Drake out to perform on stage with him, he let a still-fringe artist perform one of his own songs, "Successful," in its entirety. "I'll never forget that. I must have looked in the eyes of 40 people I know in the first 20 rows," Drake says, sounding still somewhat shocked. "There were ex-girlfriends, guys who hated me, people who loved me, my mother -- and it was just like, 'This is it.'"  Like most other testaments to Drake's success, there's a video on the Internet to prove the moment actually happened.

February 13, 2009: Also a date Drake remembers vividly, as do his fans. The night of February 12, people (like this writer) logged onto Drake's website, October's Very Own (octobersveryown.blogspot.com), and waited patiently for this unknown rapper, who'd been getting praise from Lil Wayne and rap blogs, to show and prove. A day later, the moment finally came (the blog post reads "fashionably late") in the form of a link to download So Far Gone, a mixtape of songs written by Drake, a rough-around-the-edges-but-still-very-witty rapper and a tolerable-even-somewhat-decent singer, all delivered with the brash confidence of someone who was familiar with the fame game.

Thank Me Later Promo

Drake talking about Love and Music. Be sure to cop his album "Thank Me Later" Dropping June 15th.

Drake (Ft. Young Jeezy) - Unforgettable (Full Version, With drums)

drake unforgettable  feat. young jeezy

Wow, i just found a new favorite song. Im just diggin' the vibe, and especially the vibe. Plus the beat is hott, and the lyrics are straight Fire. Anyway, just another thing that makes me want Thank me Later even worse! Track is DOPEE.

Second Coming.

Let me start off by saying, i'm really excited for "Thank Me Later". Its gonna be summer, and this album is always on my mind. I guess thats one way you can tell that an artist is doing their job. Some times i find myself just spittin' some Drake lyrics, or tapping out some of his crazy beats.

And truly, im so tired of hearing people hating on Drake. Seriously, its time for some people to come to reality, this dude is soo diverse, and people are still saying they dont even like 1 piece of his work? Your saying that if i were to bump some of his music, you wouldn't nod your head a little? You would just sit there, and tell me to turn it off? Na, let me be blunt, if you don't like Drizzy, your wack. The dude can even sing!

I really just find it amazing, how someone could have such the perfect mix of Confidence and Humility, a person who really expresses themselves; and how they feel through their work, and your still trying to hate? eventually some haters admit that drizzy goes hard, and its hard not to like him. So then they go on to hate on his clothes, his swag, or the fact he reps Canada. Damnn, y'all are hating just because a dude is more successful then you? Anyone who says they "Dont Fuck with Drizzy", i wanna see you do half of what Drake has Done. Even the legends of the game are left speechless from his work, but these cats, that can't even spit are hatin?! Pshh, go play in traffic.

Anyway, im not at all scared to say right now that Drizzy is the best in the game right now. So all you haters should find someone else to hate on, get off Drakes dick, and try and write one line better then his worst!
